An initiative of Points of Light & Hands On Network and sponsored by Target, 2008 National Volunteer Week (NVW) is from April 27 to May 3. This week is about engaging individuals in service, inspiring a nation to join a movement for change, and recognizing deserving volunteers.

This site is all about inspiration. You can share your stories and be inspired by reading others' stories. Points of Light & Hands On Network is looking for stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to create positive change in their world. Your story may be highlighted right here on this site, at the 2008 National Conference on Volunteering, for national recognition programs and with news media.
